Martha Jean Wilm, born June 3rd, 1936 in Malvern, Arkansas was a lifelong resident of Siskiyou County spending her childhood in Dunsmuir, California and her adulthood in Weed, California, died peacefully in the presence of her loving family the evening of January 17th, 2009 at Mercy Medical Center in Redding, California due to numerous recently discovered illnesses.
She was the oldest of four daughters of the late Ovie and Eloise Stanley, the wife of the late Robert Wilm, and the mother of five children, Lee, Sharon, Alan, Beth and Trish. She was the grandmother of 14, and the great-grandmother of five.
She lived and enjoyed an active life full of camping, road trips, archery, gardening and crafts. In her youth, she played the violin. She was a waitress the majority of her working life.
Her generous spirit led her to volunteer at the Siskiyou Food Bank located at 298 Main Street, Weed, CA 96094 where you may make a donation in her memory.
Friends are invited to join the family at Martha’s graveside service located at the Mt. Shasta Memorial Park on January 31st at 1 p.m., followed by a reception at the Lake Shastina Community Center.

Edward Cohen
Edward Abraham Cohen, a resident of Mount Shasta, passed away of natural causes on January 25, 2009 at Mercy Care Center in Mount Shasta. He was 83.
Edward was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on July 20, 1925. He moved to Siskiyou County from Klamath Falls, Oregon in 1996.
Edward was a veteran of the US Marine Corps, serving during World War II and the Korean War.
He was a railroad conductor for Southern Pacific Railroad for 20 years. Edward enjoyed playing the guitar and cutting wood.
Survivors include two sons, Eddie Cohen of Lakehead and Jay Cohen of Gold Hill, Oregon; two daughters, Jana Blevins of Lake Shastina and Kathy Neves of Bethel, Connecticut; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Private services are planned. Burial is at Mt. Shasta Memorial Park.
