Siskiyou County high school students recently completed the 67-hour Basic Wildland Fire Training. 
The class is one of a three-part course offered through a collaboration between Siskiyou ROP, College of the Siskiyous and CalFire.
Students completing all three courses – HazMat Fro, First Responder Medical and Basic 67 Wildland Fire – meet the minimum employment qualifications to be a seasonal firefighter with CalFire and the US Forest Service.
