The Siskiyou County Public Health and Community Development offers vaccinations including travel shots at its regularly scheduled immunization clinics in Mount Shasta and Yreka. No appointment is necessary. Clinics are on a first come, first serve basis.
The following clinics are scheduled for the month of February:
Tuberculin skin testing
• Tuesday, Feb. 2 from 7:30 to 9 a.m. at 810 S. Main Street in Yreka. A return visit on Feb. 5 will be necessary to confirm and record results.
There is a $20 fee for each TB skin test. The fee is required and not subject to a waiver.
Immunization clinics
• Tuesday, Feb. 9 from 9 a.m. to noon at 411 Ski Village Drive, Suite C, in Mount Shasta.
• Thursday, Feb. 25 from 7:30 to 11:30 a.m. at 810 S. Main Street in Yreka.
There is a charge of $9 per immunization for all state supplied child and adult vaccine. The cost of all other vaccine is determined by the cost of the vaccine plus an administration fee.
Exact change or checks is appreciated. Credit/debit cards are not accepted.
Bring any prior immunization records with you.
Immunizations for adults are not covered by Medi-Cal and are not subject to a fee waiver.
Children will not be denied immunizations for inability to pay. Those with Medi-Cal must bring their Beneficiary Identification Card.
A parent must be present in order for services to be provided to children under the age of 18, unless a Public Health Consent Form accompanies the child.
