Gladys Feichko Brunjes, a resident of Dunsmuir, passed away at her home on July 19, 2010 from cancer. She was 86 years old.

Gladys was born in Scofield, Utah on January 20, 1924. She moved to Dunsmuir from Louisiana in 1959 following the death of her first husband, Ab Galton Davis.

Gladys was a housewife, mother and businesswoman.

Following her marriage to Richard H. Brunjes, they purchased Foremost Milk business franchise. She maintained the books for this business in addition to Shasta Sunset Homes, a mobile home park in North Dunsmuir.

Gladys enjoyed family, socializing, bridge, singing, and her home she helped build.

Gladys’s fraternal affiliations include St. John’s Church Guild, St. John’s Bingo Committee, Toastmasters, and was a past member of The American Bridge Association.

Survivors include her youngest brother, Frank Harry Feichko Sr. (Carol) of Price, Utah; daughter, Julianne Davis (Pugh), living in Dunsmuir with her mother; son, Dave Michael Davis of Weed; eight grandchildren; one step-grandchild; and nine great-grandchildren. We will miss her wisdom and stories.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on July 31 at 10 a.m. at St. John’s Catholic Church in Dunsmuir with Father Michael Canny officiating. She will be interred at Igo Veterans Cemetery outside of Redding alongside her husband, Richard H. Brunjes.
