Manuel Louis Navarro, a resident of Weed, passed away on October 18, 2010 at his home. He was 60 years old.
Manuel was born in Oakland, California on January 8, 1950. He moved to Siskiyou County from New Mexico in 1987.

Manuel was an information officer for the US Forest Service. He was a member of the US Army Reserves and the Holy Family Catholic Church.

Manuel enjoyed boxing and the Oakland Raiders.

Survivors include his wife, Lorraine Navarro of Weed; sons, Mando Navarro of Concord and Santino Navarro of Weed; daughter, Dolores Navarro of Burney; and brothers, David Navarro of Hidden Valley and Michael Navarro of Vacaville.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, October 28 at 11:30 a.m. at the Holy Family Catholic Church in Weed with Father Melvin Conception officiating.

Arrangements were made by Mt. Shasta Memorial Chapel.
