On October 20, 2010 Cyril “Reuben” Daw, age 77, passed away in Redding Mercy Hospital of natural causes.

Reuben was born in Baker, Oregon on March 14, 1933. He and his family moved to Dunsmuir, California. He went to Dunsmuir High School.

Reuben joined the Navy after school; then returned to Dunsmuir where he worked for Southern Pacific Railroad, retiring after 47 years.

Reuben is survived by his wife of 37 years, Lyneada Daw; sister, Vera Tucker; daughters, Linda (and Rick) Chandon, and Debbie (and Chris) Freudenberg; son, Scott (and Trish) Ross. Reuben is also survived by 10 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Reuben was an amazing man with a heart of gold, who was loved by everyone who met him.

There will be a Celebration of Life at the Mount Shasta City Park, lower lodge on Saturday, November 13 at 3 p.m. It will be a potluck.
