Dorothy Belcastro passed away peacefully at her home on October 19, 2010, after a battle with pancreatic cancer.

Dorothy was born in Columbus, North Dakota on February 8, 1927 to John and Marie Dollar.

She moved to Weed, California when she was in high school where she met and married the love of her life, Joe Belcastro Jr. They were married 54 years; Joe preceded her in death in 2001.

Dorothy loved spending time with her family and friends. Many gatherings were held at her home and many summers were spent camping at Medicine Lake.

Cousins enjoyed spending summer vacation at the family home. Dorothy loved to cook for her family, friends and anyone that dropped by near dinner time.

Dorothy liked to do crafts, crosswords and loved an occasional trip to Redding. She has painted with oils, crocheted many afghan blankets, and her most recent endeavor was cross stitching, which when completed were works of art.

Everyone that met Dorothy enjoyed her passion, sense of humor and generosity.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents; husband; three brothers, Louie, Curly and Bob Dollar; and sister, Edith House.

Dorothy is survived by her sons, Frank (Kathy) of Roseville, California, Tony (Yvonne) of Reno, Nevada, and Jay (Penny) of Weed; daughter, Diana (Joe) Guerra of Yreka; 11 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; 3 sisters-in-law; and numerous nieces and nephews.
