The powerhouse College of the Siskiyous Lady Eagles Softball Team is set to host a fall softball clinic on Sunday, Nov. 7, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., at the COS softball field in Weed.

Lady Eagle players will teach young athletes of all ages the fundamentals, improve their skills, get a better understanding of the game, and reach their potential in a positive, safe and relaxed learning environment.

Head coach Doug Eastman, a former professional player with the Cincinnati Reds organization, and pitching ace Jackie Imhof, the 2008-09 Lady Eagles’ Pitcher of the Year and All-American player, will be coaching along with many more.

Having attended the state finals for the past four consecutive years and an overall record of 228-25, the Lady Eagles can easily be considered one of the top athletic programs in the State of California.

Funding for the COS softball program is limited, which makes harder to reach this level of success each year, according to a press release. This clinic is a way to help support the Lady Eagles with new uniforms, traveling expenses for fall, and equipment for practices.

The cost of the clinic is $30 and includes lunch. T-shirts may be purchased for $10. To register for the clinic and for more information, call the COS softball office at 530-938-5362 and leave the participant’s name and age on the answering machine.
Pre-registration will be held the day of the clinic at 8:30 a.m. in the COS gym.
