Mount Shasta’s annual Christmas Tree Lighting -- begins at 5:30 p.m. in front of city hall in downtown with Pastor Gary Van De Walker of the Evangelical Free Church.
Caroling with special guests and COS Children’s Choir. Plus performance by Heaven & Earth. Candle lighting at 5:50 p.m. Battery operated candles will be handed out or bring your own wax candles.
Visit Santa in his workshop at the fire station and enjoy hot chocolate and cookies. Many stores open late holiday browsers and shopping. Info: 926-4865.
Christmas Display and Tree Lighting -- At 6:30 p.m., 936 Douglas Lane (off of Lassen Lane in Mount Shasta). Bring the entire family and enjoy this spectacular Christmas display. More than 30 decorated trees surrounded by cartoon characters, beautiful Christmas decorations, a nativity scene, a ferris wheel with the seven dwarfs, reindeer and many more. Christmas music will play continuously. The display will be lit through Jan. 1. On Friday and Saturday nights, enjoy hot chocolate, coffee, cookies and hot apple cider.
