Jeffrey Paul Stiles, a resident of Mount Shasta, passed away at home on March 14, 2011.
Jeffrey was born in New York City, New York on January 19, 1947, to Irvin and Norma Stiles.

He left New York after graduating from high school, and served in the US Navy from 1965 to 1969 as an electronics technician aboard aircraft carriers.

After discharge from the Navy, he settled in Sonoma, California, where he met Liz Giblin in 1972. Jeffrey and Liz married in 1974 and lived in Napa, and later, Benicia.

Jeffrey worked as an electrician in the Napa area for many years, and at age 43, he completed the X-ray Technician Program at Santa Rosa Junior College.

He worked at Kaiser Hospital in San Rafael for 13 years before retiring to Mount Shasta in 2005.

Jeffrey enjoyed photography, gardening, hiking and cross-country skiing. He volunteered many hours to the Obama campaign in 2008, registering voters at College of the Siskiyous and in Mount Shasta. He treasured good times with family and friends.

Jeffrey is survived by his wife, Liz of Mount Shasta; his son, Zack of Ventura; his brother, Randy and his wife, Barbara; niece, Amanda; and nephew, John of New York; brother, Steve of Baltimore, Maryland; and Aunt Mary and Uncle Dick of Florida.

Jeffrey was preceded in death by his daughter, Jessica in 1989.

A celebration of Jeffrey’s life will be held at a later date.
