Snow walloped the north state over the weekend, and McCloud was no exception.

Many residents in McCloud were kept busy shoveling their walkways and keeping snow from covering their outside monitor heater vents during the weekend snowstorm that walloped the north state. Snow slid and plummeted from roofs, building up in some places to the roof tops. Here, one resident clears snow away from his bathroom window before it’s crushed. Aside from the normal complaining about high berms caused by the snowplow, a couple of downed limbs, and approximately 20 instances of flickering lights, McCloud fared well during the second big storm of the season. “I think we got about three and a half feet of snow,” said one longtime McCloud resident, leaning on his snow shovel. “So what's new?" he added, smiling.
