Kids on their way to Mount Shasta Elementary School on Bus 5 this morning had a bit of a bumpy ride.

No one was injured when the school bus collided with a blue Isuzu Trooper at the intersection of Alma and Pine streets at about 8:15 a.m.

California Highway Patrol officer Bill Lynam said the incident happened when both the Isuzu and the bus were attempting to make a right turn onto Pine Street when they collided.

Investigation is still ongoing, and fault has not yet been determined, Lynam said.

Approximately 14 students were on the bus when the collision occurred, Lynam said.

Mount Shasta police officer Chris Lynch and Community Services officer Gordon Howard directed traffic around the incident, which partially blocked the intersection for about a half an hour.

Anyone that may have witnessed the accident is asked to call the Mt. Shasta CHP office at 926-2627.
