The College of the Siskiyous softball team has its collective back against the wall after losing a doubleheader to Feather River in Quincy Tuesday, April 12.

Siskiyous’ normally productive offense had just 9 hits in the two games and scored just 2 runs, losing 3-0 and 4-2 and falling from first to third place in the Golden Valley Conference.

Ranked No. 3 in the state before those losses, Siskiyous (11-3, 28-5) now goes into a tough weekend trailing Feather River (13-1, 25-6) and Shasta (10-2, 24-9).

The Eagles are scheduled to play two at Shasta Friday, April 15, then host Butte (4-10, 11-18) Saturday in Weed. They’re scheduled to finish the regular season with a rematch against Feather River Tuesday, April 19, in Weed.
