The Dunsmuir High School softball team won it first two games of the season April 14 in Loyalton, 7-1 over Loyalton and 20-7 over Herlong.

Krystal Palmer pitched both games, including a one-hitter with 10 strikeouts and 3 walks in seven innings against Loyalton.

The Tigers scored their 7 runs on 6 hits, 3 of them by freshman leadoff hitter Marki Stibi, who singled twice, doubled, drove in two and scored twice.

Regina Rodarmel singled and scored twice, Chelsea Helms singled and drove in a run, and Maria Gutierrez singled.

Thirteen walks combined with 9 singles helped the Tigers score their 20 runs against Herlong.
Clara Weld went 3 for 4, scored 3 runs and drove in 2.

Helms had 2 hits, 3 runs batted in and scored twice.

Stibi, Jessica Hatten, Rodarmel and Palmer all had one hit apiece.

Stibi scored 4 runs and drove in 2; Hatten and Rodarmel both scored 2 and drove in 2; Allie Belzer scored 3 runs and drove in 1; and Gutierrez and Elenna Vigil both scored twice.
