Find out if this curry-flavored ketchup is worth buying for your family.
Jennifer Mastroianni: People seem to either love curry or hate curry. Count me as a fan. But this is one curry-flavored product I can live without.
This spiced 33-ounce bottle of ketchup tastes less like curry and more like vinegar, liquid smoke and cumin. And the packaging is laughable. I wouldn’t want an ounce of this awful-tasting stuff, let alone two pounds.
Saimi Bergmann: A few years ago, we were inundated with flavored ketchups, from garlic to jalapeno. I never climbed aboard that particular bandwagon, preferring to start with plain ketchup and add my own flavorings as warranted.
This product didn’t change my mind. Although I liked the mild curry flavor of this ketchup, and it was delicious over steamed cauliflower, I don’t really need it in my larder. I can add curry to a dish on my own, thank you.
