Roy Arthur Ensmenger, a longtime resident of Santa Rosa, California, went home to be with the Lord on June 20, 2011 at the age of 83.

He was born in Buffalo, New York on April 11, 1928 to Philip and Eleanor Ensmenger. He was the youngest of four siblings.

While Roy worked as an electrician for nearly 55 years, his life was devoted to serving his Lord and Savior in his local church and through global missions and spending time with his wife, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Roy enjoyed traveling, photography and sampling foods from around the world.

Roy was a gracious man of God whose faith in Jesus Christ was evident in his daily life through his compassion and heart for others. He truly loved others as Christ loved him. Roy will be greatly missed.

He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Pam of Santa Rosa, California; son, Gary Ensmenger of Orlando, Florida; son, John Shunn of Santa Rosa, California; son, Rick Shunn (Tiffany) of Dixon, California; grandchildren, Joy Beeman (James), Kari Fox (Micah), Katie Shoemaker, Jonathon Shoemaker, Scott Shoemaker, William Shoemaker, Devona Ensmenger, Heather Oliver (Arik); and great-grandchildren, Nolan,Devon, Blake, Seth and Jude.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Lorraine; son, Glenn; daughter, Gail; brothers, Phil and Don; and sister, Dorothy.

A memorial service will be held at Mt. Shasta Memorial Park, 800 Lassen Lane, Mount Shasta on Monday, June 27 at 11 a.m.
