The Siskiyou County Sheriff’s Department is busy investigating thefts that occurred during a football camp held in McCloud last weekend.

Cell phones, iPods, headphones, chargers and cash were among the items taken from tents and vehicles parked at the McCloud Elementary School campus last Friday, according to Sheriff’s spokesperson Allison Giannini.

At approximately 3 p.m.  on Friday, July 15, camp participants and adults from several high schools, including Fall River, Orland, Gridley, Chester, U-Prep of Redding, Central Valley of Shasta Lake and Eagle Point Ore. left their property in tents and vehicles on the campus, Giannini said.

When they returned at approximately 4 p.m. they discovered that someone had gone through their tents and vehicles.

Those with information are urged to call the Sheriff’s Department at 841-2900 and  ask to speak with Deputy Towers.
