Thanksgiving is shaping up to be a white one, with three to six inches of snow expected in elevations above 4,500 feet.

The National Weather Service issued a Winter Weather Advisory which will remain in effect until 4 a.m. Thanksgiving morning.

According to the warning, snow will start to accumulate around 5 p.m. this evening, Nov. 23, with the most significant snow expected overnight.

Snow is expected to begin to cover Snowman’s Summit on Highway 89 during the evening, resulting in slick roads and hazardous travel.
