Alvarado-Carlson
Jahna Rae Alvarado, daughter of David and Lucille Cook of Mount Shasta, was married to Erik Carlson, son of Patsy Carlson of Sacramento, on November 11, 2011. Family friend Mike Kuykendall officiated at the early afternoon ceremony that took place in the shadow of Mt. Shasta.

Official witnesses were the couple’s dear friends Gary and Torry Lentsch. The wedding party consisted of the groom’s children, bridesmaids Kerstin and Madison Carlson, and groomsmen Arik and Jordon Carlson; with the bride’s son Christian Alvarado serving as the bride’s escort.

In addition to the guests from the Mount Shasta area, numerous family and friends traveled from as far away as southern California, Idaho, Nevada and Washington to celebrate with the happy couple.

Special thanks to Karen Dettman and Linda Lamanna for their help in creating a scout-themed event; Chet Carlisle for his help with the picture wall; and all the friends and family that worked so hard to make the day memorable.

The couple makes their home in Sacramento, where they originally met at a Boy Scout function and continue to fill their “spare time” as volunteer adult leaders with Boy Scouts of America.
