Nella “Hope” Wade, a resident of Weed, California passed away on November 20, 2011. She was 87 years old.

Hope was born in Oklahoma on May 19, 1924. She moved to Weed when she was nine months old.

Hope worked for Long-Bell in the box factory during which time she met Ralph, who would be her loving husband of 52 years.

They had two children, Bill and Carletta. Together they enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping.

Hope retired after 15 years working at the Weed Convalescent Hospital as a nurses aide.

She belonged to a sewing club and her hobbies included crocheting and knitting.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph; son, Bill; and brother, Kenneth.

Survivors include her daughter, Carletta Puppo and son-in-law, Jordon Puppo of Edgewood; and four grandchildren, Carly Puppo of Sacramento, Tyler Puppo of Edgewood, Nicholas Wade of Weed, and Marcus Wade of Miami, Florida. She had one great-grandson.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 3 at 11 a.m. at the Weed Berean Church.
