Completing a long and blessed life, Carmen Rossetto passed away peacefully on Friday, November 18, 2011.

She was born 93 years ago on July 16, 1918 in Dunsmuir, California and grew up in Klamath Falls, Oregon.

She graduated from Mary’s Help Hospital School of Nursing in 1938 and became a registered nurse thereafter.

She worked at hospitals in San Francisco, Weed and Mount Shasta, finishing her career as a clinical nurse for Dr Victor Thompson in Weed.

She married Aldo Rossetto in 1940. The couple recently celebrated their 71st wedding anniversary. She had three children.

Carmen was preceded in death by her son, Damien Rossetto; daughter, Carla Hanson; and grandson, Gavin Ratley.

She is survived by her husband, Aldo Rossetto of Redding; son, Dan (and Michelle) Rossetto of Redding; son-in-law, Peter Hanson of Napa, California; sister, Rita Marchi of San Ramon, California; brother, Louie Della Costa of Klamath Falls, Oregon; grandchildren, Leslie Ratley-Beach (and Bob) of Mt. Pellier, Vermont, Todd (and July) Ratley of Redding, Adam (and Michelle) Ratley of Anabel, Missouri, Megan (and Bruce) Herring of Salt Lake City Utah, Ryan Rossetto of Brooklyn, New York, Cyprian Rossetto of Reno, Nevada, Michaela Rossetto of Dublin, California, and many great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
