James Scott Robinson passed away of colon cancer at the age of 67 in Mount Shasta, California on January 10, 2012.

Scott was born in Dunsmuir, California on September 21, 1944 to Johnsey and Phyllis Robinson.

Scott leaves behind his wife of 25 years, Kathleen (Kate) Robinson; two sons from previous marriages; two stepdaughters; four step-granddaughters; and his dog and best friend, Nillie.

When Scott was younger he was a volunteer fireman in Dunsmuir. In the years that followed, he had held a variety of jobs in the grocery trade, millwork, and in liquid gas delivery.

Scott enjoyed golf, baseball, bowling, hunting and fishing. He also enjoyed reading and learning about the local Indian tribes of Siskiyou, Shasta and Tehama Counties.

The family would like to thank Dr. Harch and the wonderful staff of Mercy Medical Center, Mt. Shasta for their kindness and compassion in the care Scott received. You are truly the angels among us.

At Scott’s request there will be no services. A Dogwood tree will be planted in his honor in the spring at the Siskiyou Humane Society in Mount Shasta.

In lieu of flowers, please send donations to: Siskiyou Humane Society, 1208 N. Mt. Shasta Blvd., Mount Shasta, CA 96067.
