Luigi Teodaro Spagnuolo, a resident of McCloud, California, passed away on February 18, 2012 at his home. He was 98 years old.

Luigi was born in Cerenzia, Italy on June 18, 1913. He moved to Siskiyou County from Italy in 1955.

Luigi served in the Italian Army, fighting during World War II. He worked as a laborer for US Plywood of McCloud before his retirement.

Luigi loved his family and enjoying staying busy in his garden.

Survivors include his sons, Anthony Spagnuolo of Mesa, Arizona, Frank Spagnuolo of McCloud, and Sam Spagnuolo (and wife Janice) of Redding; three grandchildren, Shana Spagnuolo of Downey, Brittany Spagnuolo of Huntington, and Lucas Spagnuolo of Redding; and two great-grandchildren, Coltan and Franchesca Spagnuolo of Redding.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, February 24 at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in McCloud, with Father Aldrin Basarte officiating. Entombment is at Mt. Shasta Memorial Park in Mount Shasta.
