Theresa Williams Barnes, 36, died in perfect peace on Monday, February 20, 2012 at the Alexander Cohen Hospice House following a short terminal illness.

Theresa was born on November 4, 1975. She grew up in Oakdale – Dunsmuir, California with her mom, Rose Williams Bird; dad, Lee Williams; sister, Valerie Weldy; and brothers, Robert, Mike and Jon Williams.

She is survived by many other close family members, as well as friends, who loved her dearly.

Theresa was a loving daughter, wife, mother to Kelsey and Carson Barnes of Virginia City, Nevada, sister, and blessed friend who always enjoyed sharing the laughter and happiness that evolved within family and friendship.

Theresa loved and was loved. She sang and heard music; and she loved the ocean. When she entered a room – it somehow brightened. We will miss her warm sense of compassion for others.

Many say she was someone you could talk to about anything and everything. Somehow, no matter how tough a day or hard of a time you were going through, she always made you smile.

Family and friends gathered around to support Theresa’s last days of her illness at the Hospice House in Hughson, where she died gazing into her mother’s eyes – the same way she did when she came into this world.

She now is safe in the arms of Jesus and when we hear your music we will remember you Theresa. Thank you for being a gift to us!

A Celebration of Theresa’s Life was held on Saturday, February 25 at 1 p.m. at Riverbank Memorial Chapel  located at 3131 Santa Fe Street in Riverbank.

There will also be a Celebration of Theresa’s Life, including a butterfly release, at a future date by the ocean in Eureka, California. For more information email Rose Williams Barnes at: thebirdnest2@sbcglobal.net
