The Meals on Wheels auxillary is looking for help moving and storing a large donation recently received from Home Depot in Red Bluff.

This is the second large, valuable load of donations from the store in the past week, said MOWA founder Dawn Fazende.

Last week, approximately $8,000 worth of goods, including four washer and dryer sets, a pallet of flower pots and a pallet of small appliances were donated and moved to Mount Shasta by a volunteer.

Recipients of the donations included Mount Shasta High School, Shasta Head Start, Hannah House Crisis Pregnancy Center and Rockfellow House.

This batch will contain at least one bathtub, Fazende said.

While Fazende is grateful for the donation, she said she needs help from someone (or several someones) with trucks large enough to pick up the shipment. She’s also looking for somewhere to store the load until MOWA can figure out how to distribute the donations.
The load must be picked up by Tuesday, May 1.

If you can help, call Fazende at (530) 926-1762.
