Peggy Joann Clement (Barcaglia), passed away on September 17, 2012 in
her home. Peggy was born on October 24, 1936 in Weed, CA, to Martin Truett
Sumrall and Neva Prough Slingsby. Peggy grew up in Weed, graduating from
Weed High School. She lived in Redding for most of her adult life. She was preceded
in death by her mother and step-father Melvin Slingsby, her father and
step-mother Billie Sumrall and her beloved German Shepherd, Storm.
She is survived by her loving husband, (Floyd) Barry Clement, daughters:
Neva Joy Atkins and Tahnya Novak (Dan), her grandchildren Charona England,
Garrett Novak and Julia Novak, and her great grandson Jacob Wang, her step
sons: Mark, Donnie and Will Clement (Jenika) and many step grandchildren,

Peggy was active her whole life; if she became passionate about something
she gave 110 percent. With her stubborn and feisty personality, she excelled at
everything she did. Peggy was an avid golfer and loved to play with her husband,
having recently hit a hole-in-one. She also loved to paly poker and they
would often make a trip to the casino for Texas Hold Em tournaments, or to
play with close friends. Her hobbies also included Archery, Dressage, Schutzhund
and Loom Weaving.
She loved her family very much and had a wonderful huge heart for those
close to her. She will be greatly missed.
