The Weed High School varsity volleyball team defeated Burney in three games last night at home, 25-21, 25-15, 25-23.  The JV ladies lost 1-2 (16-25, 25-18, 14-16).
 
Weed soccer added another win to their record when Butte Valley forfeited because of a lack of players.
 
The Cougars are scheduled to travel to Etna Thursday night for both volleyball and soccer
 
Mount Shasta's volleyball and soccer teams played in Modoc Tuesday beating Modoc in soccer 7-0, but losing a tight match in varsity volleyball 3-2 (25-20, 18-25, 25-19, 16-25, 12-15).
 
Soccer is scheduled to play Tulelake tomorrow at home.  The volleyball team plays Fall River next at home on Tuesday, Oct. 23.
