Ruth Elaine Hamilton Adams, a resident of Dunsmuir, California, passed away of natural causes on December 5, 2012 at Mercy Medical Center in Mount Shasta. She was 82 years old.
Ruth was born in Denver, Colorado on July 26, 1930 to Ivan Lee and Elinor Smith. She moved to Dunsmuir in 1958.
Ruth was a bookkeeper tax consultant and x-ray technician before her retirement.
She was a member of the Lady Elks, Lady Lions, and a Lady Moose. She was a Girl Scout leader; and a lifelong member of the Church of Christ.
Survivors include her children: Greg Hamilton of Dunsmuir, Mike Hamilton of Klamath Falls, Oregon, Tricia Lovio of Mount Shasta, Teresa Rossetto of Dunsmuir, Daniel Hamilton of Mineral, Washington, and Jesse Hamilton of Acampo, California; brother, Wayne Smith of Salem, Oregon; sister, Louise Bouchér of Turner, Oregon; 13 grandchildren; and 8 great-grandchildren.
A celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, March 30 at 11 a.m. at Mountain Christian Fellowship in Mount Shasta with Daniel Hamilton officiating. Lunch will follow. All friends are welcome.
