Zelfter “Zel” C. Love Clark, beloved wife, mother and friend, passed away peacefully at the age of 94 on April 2, 2013 in El Dorado Hills, California where she had lived since 1972.

She was born to Nan and William “Tex” Carleton in Oregon City, Oregon. She and her family moved to Mount Shasta, California in 1922, when she was four, and lived there for the next 39 years. She graduated from Mount Shasta High School in 1936.

She was Worthy Matron of Order of Eastern Star, Sisson Chapter in 1959; and a life member of Fidelity Chapter. She was active in the Mount Shasta Parent Teacher Association and was president.

She and her late husbands where active members of the Masons and Shrine. She was an avid golfer.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, James J. Love; second husband, Robert “Bob” Clark; son, James E. Love; stepson, Kenneth Clark; brother, William Carleton; and sister, Nadene Krohnert.

She is survived by her daughter, Nancee Heath (and Carl); and sons, Carleton Love (and Patricia), Paul Love, Steven Love (and Gail); stepsons, Allen Clark (and Jeannie), Stan Clark; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great, great-grandchildren.

She was laid to rest in Mt. Shasta Memorial Park on Friday, April 19.

She will be missed by all who knew her and love her.
