Alford Bearden was located in Vallejo and is doing well, according to the Shasta County Sheriff's Department.

UPDATE: Thursday morning around 9 a.m. officers with the Vallejo Police Department contacted the Shasta County Sheriff’s Office and advised that missing person Alford Bearden had been located in Vallejo and is doing well. The Silver Alert has been cancelled.

*   *   *   *   *   *The California Highway Patrol issued a Silver Alert yesterday for a 77 year old man that was last seen driving on southbound Interstate 5 north of Dunsmuir on Monday around 11:30 p.m.

Alford Alonzo Bearden was driving a separate car ahead of his daughter, who exited the freeway as he continued south. She got back on I-5 but wasn't able to find him, according to the alert.

Bearden did not arrive at his intended destination in Vallejo, according to a press release from the Shasta County Sheriff's Office.

Bearden is black, about 5'8", 150 pounds and is bald with brown eyes. H was wearing a gray and burgundy flannel shirt, olive colored pants and black shoes.

He was driving a blue 1994 Chevrolet Cavalier with a California license plate 3GMD434.

Bearden suffers from a heart condition and does not have his medication. He is considered "at risk" due to his age and medical condition, the release states.
