Frozen Olaf Birthday Party

Birthday parties in our house are a very big deal. Each of our three daughters gets to choose a theme for their special day, then we transform our house into that idea! We have had bat caves, and truffula tree forests and this time we had a frozen snowflake house, complete with snowball fight, even though it was 70 degrees outside!
First we cut out snowflakes and printed little sayings from the movie and hung them all over the house. A few white streamers and some beads from the chandelier and we were on our way to an ice palace. My daughter helped cut the snow flakes. Click here to see how we did it!

Then we started to prepare the food portion of the theme. The morning before the party my oven element actually caught on fire, and we had to order a replacement. But the party must still go on, so I gathered my kitchen and moved to the grandparents to do some major baking! 36 cupcakes, and about 100 cut out cookies and 3 hours later brought it all back home to decorate.Click here for the recipe for the cookies. Here is the cake recipe.
We made frozen ice glass hard candy to decorate the cake and cupcakes with. See those directions here.
Here for the recipe for the cupcakes.

We had Olaf noses (Carrots) and snow dip (ranch)!
Frozen Chocolate Covered Strawberry heartsHere for the recipe for strawberries.
Kristov's Ice blocks- Jello Jigglers
Pirate's Booty Snowballs

Chili to warm you up!
Here for the chili recipe.

We had a snowball fight with these snowballs in the back yard.
We got them off Amazon.com

The party was a huge success in my daughters eyes we even did her hair like Elsa. Another girl who happened to have perfect red hair, had hers done like Anna at the coronation. We even had two brothes with Olaf snowmen costumes show up! It was incredible for her! Happy 6th Birthday Kaylie!
