Mount Shasta High School seniors Natalee Stock and Alex Peruzzi are adding a new event to Little League’s Opening Day festivities, scheduled for Saturday, April 5 at the Mount Shasta Little League field.

The Glove It Up Wiffle Ball Tournament is for all ages, and proceeds from the new event will go to South Siskiyou Little League. The tournament is sponsored by Mount Shasta Recreation and Parks District. It is part of the girls’ senior project.

Entry fee is $20 for a five-person team. Times for the games haven’t yet been determined, but will take place after the traditional 10 a.m. Opening Day ceremony and parade around the field.

All players will participate, from 4 year olds to 13 and 14 year olds.

Little League teams will then have their team photos taken, followed by the Hit-a-Thon fundraiser and the Wiffle Ball tourney.
