Many people stopped to take pictures as Mei Drucker was creating a Buddha snow sculpture Saturday outside her Gallery and Gift Shoppe in downtown Mount Shasta.

Using the snow that fell Friday night and Saturday morning, Drucker called her Mt. Shasta Buddha "art for people to enjoy."

She said she started the creation at about 11:30 a.m. and continued working on it into the evening. It's overall shape was similar to the shape of Mt. Shasta, and she said the sculpture's many balls were symbolic of snow balls and kids having fun.
