Clifford Eugene Babcock was born to Eugene Myron and Doris LaFern (Fee) Babcock, of Mt. Shasta, CA, on September 2, 1944. He passed from this life on February 27, 2017 in the peace and comfort of his home in Benicia, CA, with his wife by his side.

Cliff lived his youth in Mt Shasta and attended Mt Shasta High School and the College of the Siskiyous. He served his country from 1965 through 1969 in the United States Air Force. Upon discharge from the Air Force, he went to work at the Kennedy Space Center where he was a member of the teams that launched Apollos 11 and 13. In 1971 he returned to California where he made his career as a software engineer, working in the defense industry in Silicon Valley.

Cliff and Kathleen Leonard Rodegeb were married July 11, 1998 and have resided together since then in Benicia, CA.

Cliff was preceded in death by his parents; brother Douglas James Babcock; step-mother Yvonne (Martial) (Diaz) Babcock; paternal grandparents George and Lilian (Whitman) Babcock; and maternal grandparents Clifford and Iva (Tuter) Fee. He is survived by his wife; brother Dean (Sally) Babcock; step-brothers Frank (Beverly) and John Diaz, step-sister Josie (Rick) Dyer; step-children Scott (Maria) Rodegeb, Brandon Rodegeb and Melissa (John) Dyer; 4 step-grandchildren and many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

Arrangements for a memorial service are pending. Cliff is well-loved by many, and will be sorely missed.
