Hannah Thompson scored 36 points and College of the Siskiyous outscored East Los Angeles 35-23 in the fourth quarter to earn a 93-81 victory in a California Community College Athletic Association quarterfinal game Friday afternoon in Livermore.

Siskiyous, the No. 3 seed from Northern California, advances to play a semifinal game Saturday at 5 p.m. in the same Las Positas College gym.
The Eagles (30-1) will play South No. 4 Palomar (28-2), which defeated North No. 1 College of the Sequoias, 74-71, in the game right after Siskiyous vs. East Los Angeles.

South No. 1 Mt. San Antonio, a 58-46 winner North No. 4 Foothill, will face either North No. 2 San Francisco or South No. 3 Ventura in Saturday’s other women’s semifinal.
The women’s championship game is scheduled for Sunday, March 12 at 3:30 p.m.
In its first state championship game since 2008, College of the Siskiyous trailed East Los Angeles 27-18 after one quarter but started the second quarter with a 21-11 run to briefly take a 39-38 lead.
East Los Angeles, the South’s No. 2 seed, led 46-40 lead at half time, but the Eagles rallied to tie it 58-58 after three quarters
Siskiyous took the lead at the start of the fourth quarter and never gave it back.
A 3-pointer by Thompson after Destinee Jones wrestled an offensive rebound put the Eagles on top 69-64.
A pass from Melissa Dailey to Megan Dailey for a lay-in gave the Eagles a 71-64 lead.
Thompson made another 3-pointer then scored on a lay-in, got fouled and made the free throw to up the lead to 77-66 with 4:20 to play.
Gabriela Schmitt made a short jumper from inside the key to make it 84-73, and two free throws by Elizabeth Derner all but iced it at 86-73 with 1:28 remaining.
Thompson shot 13 for 22 from the field and made 6 of 11 three-point attempts. She scored 15 of her 36 points in the fourth quarter and led the Eagles with 3 steals.
Melissa Dailey made three 3s and scored 25 points. She and twin sister Megan Daily had 7 assists each.
Megan Dailey scored 15 points, and Jones had 5 points and a game-high 12 rebounds.
Schmitt had 6 rebounds, a blocked shot and scored 3 points.
Mackenzie Hayden scored 5 and Derner 4.
Both teams made 11 three-pointers. The Eagles were 20 for 33 from the free throw line, while East Los Angeles, which fouled often late in the game, was 12 for 15.
