Live music and activities are happening this weekend at the Mt. Shasta Ski Park including the annual Rail Jam competition, which is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. Saturday and can be watched from the lodge patio.

Marketing assistant Jesse Evans reported that Domestic Bliss will be playing live music in the Black Diamond Grill Saturday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the top of Douglas with a view of the valley.

The Beer Trail Tap Takeover from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in Slider’s Bar will feature Mount Shasta Brewing Co., Dunsmuir Brewery Works, Etna Brewing Co., Caldera Brewing Co., and Fall River Brewing Co.

The Over the Hill Classic race for those 50 and over who like to compete is also scheduled for Saturday.

Registration for the Rail Jam is from 3 to 4:30. The entry fee is $25, which includes a tee-shirt. Prizes will be awarded for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place.

Gringo is scheduled to play in Slider’s Bar Saturday evening.

The weekend fun begins Friday night with live music by Rockit in Slider’s Bar from 4 to 7 p.m.

The Gene Landsman Super Slalom is scheduled for Sunday for racers 21 and over.

Upcoming events include “Ride It, Let’s Fight It” cancer awareness day on Saturday, April 1. A special lift ticket price will be $40 for the day. Sundown Poachers will play from 1 to 4 p.m. and a raffle for prizes will be held. Wear pink that day and ski for the cure!
