Liem Phothisat, a resident of Weed, California, passed away of natural causes on April 1, 2017 at Vibra Healthcare in Redding, California. She was 77 years old.

Liem was born in Laos on March 4, 1940. She moved to Eugene, Oregon in September 1980; and relocated to Weed in 1987.

Liem was a housewife. She enjoyed the outdoors – especially fishing, hiking and traveling.

Survivors include Tiamchit Phothisat, her caretaker; Darcell Fee of Columbus, Georgia; Mike Phothisat of Seattle, Washington; Sith Phothisat of Seattle, Washington Sue Phothisat of Greensboro, North Carolina; 14 grandchildren; and over 30 great-grandchildren.

Liem was preceded in death by her husband, Sang Phothisat on May 22, 2001.

A traditional cultural ceremony was held on April 5 in Weed.
