Jefferson's RoadHouse - World Famous

Please seat yourself at Jefferson's RoadHouse.

Shelly and I went stove shopping in Yreka last week and needed a break from all the choices so we stopped in at the Jefferson's RoadHouse for lunch. We seated ourselves and then we had to make more decisions...what to eat? First things first we ordered beers. Looking over the menu you can see below there are lots of choices for lunch. They offer steak, seafood and pastas on their dinner menu.

Our cold pints arrived right away - just what we wanted!

Our server was Heidi.  She knew the menu well and helped us select our meal. We needed the help and she understood the state we were in.

It turns out Heidi and her husband are the owners. I didn't know this until I looked at their website to get information for this blog. She and husband Gerald Overstreet took over the lease of Roadhouse building on July 15, 2016, and opened back up under the name Jefferson's Roadhouse

Jefferson's RoadHouse is located at 1281 S Main St, Yreka, The restaurant has a small patio and is roomy enough that it could be a go-to eatery for family gatherings. The menu offers something for everyone. Their website state they have live music and are open for lunch and dinner seven days a week and Sunday breakfast.

Presentation of their Signature Side Salad

We split a Signature Side Salad that was artfully presented. The salad had lots of good stuff in it - pears, bleu cheese, candied walnuts, cranberries, spring mix with raspberry vinaigrette. It was very filling! The vinaigrette was sweet and sharp. I recommend using it sparingly. If pears aren't available they will substitute with apples. Lucky for us we got a pear.

Fish & Chips with Coleslaw in the left cup and tartar sauce in the right cup.

We split a Fish & Chips that came in a metal basket with little cup holders for the Coleslaw and tartar sauce. The cod was fried the way I like it crispy on the outside with firm moist Alaskan cod on the inside. The batter was light and tasty - just right! The fries are a little larger than you usually get, but not big wedges. I like the malt vinegar on my fish and no ketchup on the fries. The tartar sauce was flavorful more than just mayonnaise and relish.

Family Friendly!

My new stove! It's an Amana!

We finished our meal feeling fortified and rejuvenated and went back to Black's Appliances and bought the perfect stove! Success!! Thanks Shelly and Jefferson's RoadHouse for helping me in the process of buying a new stove,
