Everyone is invited to an opening reception scheduled for Feb. 10 from 5 to 7 p.m. for Siskiyou Arts Museum’s first art show of 2018, “Abstractions.”

Marlis Jermutus will display acrylics on canvas from her “Gravity” series; and Todd Friedlander will show his digitally enhanced, mixed media photography.

The show runs through Saturday, April 7.

Much of the artwork on display will be offered at a 10 percent discount during the opening. In addition to awe-inspiring art, there will be live music by Starseed, featuring Richard Rasa on sitar, Marlis Jermutus on tamboura, and Bastian Jermutus on synthesizers. Marlis Jermutus will also show a video presentation of her artistic process.

SAM is located at 5824 Dunsmuir Avenue in Dunsmuir. Regular hours of operation are Thursday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.; and Sundays, noon to 4 p.m.
