A crystal earth globe with an inscription on its base, created by Shasta Visions of Mount Shasta, was presented in November to the Green Business Leadership Award winner during a conference in San Francisco.
The award is given each year by the national non-profit Green America.
“After 20 years of creating globes for gifts, awards and corporate appreciation ceremonies, we have never been prouder than now,” said Richard Lucas, creative designer and owner of Shasta Visions.
Since 1987 Shasta Visions has been designing and producing earth marbles, globes and gifts.
Lucas said being selected by Green America to provide the leadership award “is among the highlights of our company’s history. Our mission to build awareness, perspective, and sense of caring through beautiful and meaningful Global products has certainly been served.”
The annual Green Business Conference in November was attended by 250, many of them leaders in green business practices who selected and applauded the award recipient, Dharma Merchant Services.
“We wanted to give a special award that expressed the mission and message of Green America,” said Denise Hamler, director of the Green Business Network. “We thought it appropriate for the award to replicate the beautiful Earth that we all are working so hard to preserve.”
“It is an honor to present this award,” said Lucas. The “well-loved and appreciated three-inch Aqua Crystal Globe,” he said, “has extremely detailed natural Earth features and spins on a pyramid base.”
