Music by the Mountain is again bringing world-class musicians to Siskiyou County for live performances and personal interaction with musicians of all ages during their fourth annual music festival Sept. 6 to 8.
Featured artists this year include the Del Sol String Quartet and vocal artists Gina Silverman, Sally Porter Munro, and Kenneth Goodson, with pianists Scott Durbin and Laura Dahl.
The festival begins with a special benefit event Sept. 6 at 7:30 p.m. An intimate evening of wine and song with a silent auction will include musical theater and opera selections from Porter to Puccini.
Silverman, Munro, and Goodson will perform with Durbin and Dahl at the Woodsman Lodge and Hotel in Mount Shasta.

The Del Sol String Quartet will perform in a featured musical concert on Sunday, Sept. 7 at 4 p.m. with guest artists Sally Porter Munro and Laura Dahl.
The concert will take a musical journey from classical Vienna to Tin Pan Alley and composers from Mozart to Gershwin. It will be held at the Seventh Day Adventist Church, Hwy 89 and I-5 in Mount Shasta.

Community outreach events are scheduled for Monday, Sept. 8, including a vocal masterclass with Munro, which will be an opportunity to observe an internationally acclaimed master teacher.
Munro will work with music department students at College of the Siskiyous. The event is free and open to the public from noon to 2 p.m. at COS in Weed.
Free music programs for children will also be held at local elementary schools Sept. 8 featuring the Del Sol String Quartet.
