Several local law enforcement agencies are asking citizens to be cautious until a suspect who has been inappropriately exposing himself to the public can be identified and apprehended.
Last Wednesday, March 3, around 2:45 p.m., a white male in a tan colored pickup with canopy reportedly exposed himself to a female adult while she was walking on Everitt Memorial Highway near the high school, said MSPD chief Parish Cross.
Susan Gravenkamp, Siskiyou County Sheriff spokesperson, said on the same day, Wednesday, March 3, a Weed woman who had just finished skiing at the Mt. Shasta Ski Park was putting her gear in her car when a man driving a light blue pickup with a white camper shell approached and made an obscene gesture at her.
The man then parked his pickup nearby, walked up to her, and exposed himself.
The woman described the man as a white male about 26 to 32 years old, about six feet tall with wavy, shoulder length brown hair and a noticeable gap between his top two front teeth.
According to a California Highway Patrol spokesperson, there were at least two reports of a man in a similar vehicle exposing himself to women while driving on Interstate 5 Wednesday afternoon.
MSPD lieutenant Gabriela Tazzari stated there were two additional reports of a similar nature taken by the Weed Police Department.
Law enforcement agencies are working in conjunction to solve these cases, Tazzari said. Investigation continues to determine whether or not the cases are related and if they are searching for the same suspect.
If you have any information, contact the MSPD at 926-7540 or the Sheriff’s office at 841-2900.
