Quilt raffle -- Sisson Museum is seeking a quilt to purchase for their annual quilt raffle. • 24 hour candlelight vigil -- Mount Shasta Friends of Tibetan Culture will host a 24 hour Candlelight Vigil for Compassion, Unity and Peace Saturday and Sunday, March 14 and 15 at 1520 Shasta Acres Road in Mount Shasta.
Saturday includes opening ceremony at noon, DVD of Dalai Lama’s talk, “The Power of Compassion,” and one hour vigil segments beginning with prayer or sutra, followed by meditation. The vigil ends at noon Sunday after a DVD by His Holiness, “The Art of Peace,” and dedication of merit.

• Over the Hill Classic -- The 4th annual Over the Hill Classic competition for those 50 years and over, at the Mt. Shasta Ski Park.
