You can stroll back in time during McCloud’s Heritage Days this Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
The annual weekend celebration, now sponsored by the McCloud Heritage Junction Museum, offers arts, crafts and antiques, a street faire, food vendors, a large quilt show, a vintage tractor show, the Law Dawgs and Pistoleros old west reenactors, displays of collective vehicles, and the Edelweiss Singers and Dancers, who always attract a large audience.
On Friday night the Catholic Church will be hosting a New York steak dinner; on Saturday morning the Firemen’s Breakfast will be served.
Entertainers include Gerry Smida, Bruno Grassi, the Houston Trio, Homespun Duet, and the Berryessa String Band on the Museum porch with canopies and tables and chairs so visitors can relax in the shade and listen.
The McCloud Garden Club will be selling homemade pies and newly published cookbooks.
The Forest Service will be there with Smokey Bear demonstrating fire safety, and CAL FIRE will be leading kids games and demonstrations with Sparky.
The Mt. Shasta Fitness Center will be leading morning exercises, and the McCloud Clinic will be offering diabetes screenings.
The Brown Dog Gallery will be hosting an art show.
Also scheduled are a farmers market, axe throwing competitions, old time crafter demonstrations, an alumni golf tournament and reunion, and a community worship service.
Additional street faire vendors are welcome.
