ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS
The College of the Siskiyous, Weed, CA, invites bids for the construction of the 2017 PAVEMENT REHABILITATION project.
The proposed work consists of:
Demolition and reconstruction of approximately 26,000 S.F. of asphalt parking lots, 3-inch asphalt grind and inlay of approximately 99,500 S.F. of asphalt parking lots, crack sealing and seal coating of approximately 13,200 S.F. of asphalt parking lot, replacement of 25 S.F. of sidewalk, storm drainage improvements, signage, striping, tree removal, and related work.
Sealed bids for the described project will be received by the College of the Siskiyous, Facility Management office Building #11, 800 College Avenue, Weed, CA 96094 until 1:00 p.m., local time, May 26, 2017. Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud at that time. A non-mandatory Pre-bid Conference will be held at 10:00 am on May 18, 2017 at the College of the Siskiyous.
Contract Documents may be examined at the following locations: Adkins Consulting Engineering, LLP, 2950 Shasta Way, Klamath Falls, OR; College of the Siskiyous, 800 College Avenue, Weed, CA 96094, the Shasta Builders Exchange, Redding, CA, the Klamath Builders Exchange, Klamath Falls, OR, and the Medford Builders Exchange, Medford, OR. A copy of said documents may be obtained electronically by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org. Hard copies may be purchased for a non-refundable fee of $50 at Adkins Consulting Engineering. You must be on the Plan Holders List as a Registered Bidder in order to bid this project. The documents will be available after May 10, 2017.
Each Bid must be submitted on the prescribed forms and be accompanied by a cashier’s check, certified check, or Bid bond payable to College of the Siskiyous in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the amount bid.
All bidders must hold a valid Class A or C12 Contractor’s License for the State of California.
This is a California Prevailing Wage project. All Contractors and Subcontractors must furnish electronic certified payroll records directly to the Labor Commissioner (AKA Division of Labor Standards Enforcement). All Contractors and Subcontractors must be registered with California Department of Industrial Relations in order to bid on this project pursuant to Labor Code section 1725.5.
Minority, disadvantaged, and women-owned businesses requesting Contract Documents should indicate they are a minority firm at the time they request Contract Documents so they may be listed on the Plan Holders List as such.
The successful Bidder(s) will be required to furnish a Performance Bond and Payment Bond, each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price and will be required to complete the project in its entirety by August 15, 2017.
