Joan A. Bielins, 82, died on August 1, 2017 at Ridgecrest Regional Hospital after a battle with congestive heart failure and lung complications.
Joan was born in New Jersey to Camille Pearl Zebro. As a young adult she moved to New York City and worked as a secretary for Royal Typewriter Co. She soon met her future husband, Donald “Joe” Bielins. They married and started their family on Long Island. The family lived in the beautiful town of Shoreham before relocating to Ridgecrest in 1974. Joan worked at the Ridgecrest Community Hospital in the billing department until her retirement.
She is preceded in death by her husband Donald J. Bielins, and mother Camille Pearl Zebro.
She is survived by her children Deborah Gregory (Michael), Joseph Bielins, and Cynthia Bielins. Grandchildren Christopher Cass, Erik Stoessel, Raegan Jones, Stephanie Miller, and Fallon Lewis. Great-grandchildren Brittany Cass, Alyssa Cass, Jaden Lewis, Carson Shaw, and Olivia Billings. Sisters Patricia Garguilo, Henrietta Zebro, and brother John Zebro. She is also survived by many longtime family friends including Pat and Tom McIntyre, Dan and Barbara Barthel, and Ron O’Brien.
