A Mount Shasta paramedic, avid outdoorsman, and loving father died in an off-road motorcycle accident Saturday, May 26, near Trout Creek. Todd Wemmer, age 43, had two children with his wife, Kristal, and is being remembered as an inspirational man who chased his dreams and made them a reality.

“Todd Wemmer was a proud father and loving husband,” said his sister-in-law, Briana Reddell. “He loved adventure. His passion in life was his children. Helping others came naturally to him. Regardless of life struggles and adversity he prevailed and remained someone who had a kind heart and loved unconditionally.

“Todd was an example of a man changed by his faith in God,” Reddell continued. “He was honorable and displayed integrity in every facet of his life. He inspired many throughout his life journey by never giving up on his goals and being the best person he could be. The positive impact he had on the ones he loved will never be forgotten.”

A Go Fund Me page has been set up for Kristal and the children: 12 year-old Maliya and nine year-old Malakai. So far, more than 196 people have donated nearly more than $23,000 to help Kristal and the children with basic needs, including counseling, future education, and funeral costs. Todd was the sole provider for his family.
