CITY OF MT. SHASTA NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City of Mt. Shasta City Council will conduct a public hearing at their regularly scheduled meeting of Monday, July 9, 2018 at the hour of 5:30 p.m. in the Upper Lodge at the Mt. Shasta City Park, 1315 Nixon Road, Mt. Shasta, CA 96067.

The first reading of the proposed amendments to Chapter 18.24 “Nonconforming Lots, Uses, and Structures”. The proposed ordinance is intended to provide direction and guidance for the recognition of legally existing nonconforming lots, uses, and structure in the City. The proposed amendments clarify the procedures for legally, existing nonconforming lots and structures with additions to the exemptions to the ordinance.

The proposed amendments are not considered a project under the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) because they do not have a direct or indirect impact on the environment.

Should any person challenge the proposals in court, that person may be limited to raising only those issues raised during the public hearing or in written correspondence delivered to City Hall prior to the public hearing.
