The Dunsmuir Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon cutting late Thursday morning to welcome Higher Grounds Cannabis Collective, owned by husband and wife Joseph and Angelina Serna.
Among those attending were Dunsmuir Mayor Bruce Deutsch and Siskiyou County’s District 2 Supervisor Ed Valenzuela.
Higher Grounds has taken over management of the dispensary established in 2009 by Leslie Wilde, and the Sernas have an operating agreement with Wilde.
Joseph Serna wrote that he and Angelina are pleased to have the opportunity and are “looking forward to serving the needs of our patients and collective members in our local community.”
He also thanked “the City of Dunsmuir, residents and locals “and especially the mayor and all the city council members who came out today; my respects, love, gratitude and appreciation goes out to everybody that has showed us such a tremendous amount of support.”
They are located across Sacramento Ave. from the train station.
