The 71st annual McCloud Lumberjack Fiesta Days is set for Friday, Saturday and Sunday, July 27, 28 and 29. It's a town-wide celebration, although most of the fun will take place at Hoo Hoo Park.

It begins Friday night with the Little Miss Fiesta and Little Logger Contest, softball tournament, and music by WildWoman Sounds.

It starts on Saturday and Sunday with a pancake breakfast at the McCloud American Legion, and one of Saturday's featured events is the parade on Main Street.

Logging competitions, a horseshoe tournaments, a softball tournament, kids activities and contests, vendors, food and music will be happening all weekend long.

Friday, July 27

6 p.m. – Vendor booths open.

6 p.m. – Little Miss Fiesta/Little Logger Contest; following with a dance contest – age groups: walking to 4 years; 5 to 8; 9 to12; and 13 to 16 years.

6 p.m. – Papa Anderson Memorial Softball Tournament begins.

8 p.m. to midnight – Music by WildWoman Sounds, Geeia will rock the night away.

Saturday, July 28

7 to 11 a.m. – American Legion Chuela Post #92 Pancake Breakfast at Legion.

8 a.m. – Vendor booths open.

8 a.m. – Papa Anderson Memorial Softball Tournament.

10 a.m. – Harold Benedict Memorial Horseshoe Tournament (singles).

11 a.m. – Parade on Main Street; trophies immediately following at Hoo-Hoo Park.

Noon – Junior Axe Throw sign-ups.

1 p.m. – Junior Axe Throw competition begins.

3 to 6 p.m. – The Jaywalker band will be playing some good tunes.

8 p.m. to midnight – Music by WildWoman Sounds, Geeia will rock the night. Once again dress up contest to your favorite decade FUN FUN FUN.

Sunday, July 29

7 to 11 a.m. – American Legion Chuela Post #92 Pancake Breakfast at Legion.

8 a.m. – Vendor booths open.

8 a.m. – Papa Anderson Memorial Softball Tournament.

10 a.m. – Harold Benedict Memorial Horseshoe Tournament (doubles).

10 a.m. – Adult Amateur Logging Show sign-ups (includes, axe throwing, sawing, and chocker setting).

11 a.m. – Adult Amateur Logging Show competition begins.

Noon – WildWoman sounds: bringing us all some tunes for the afternoon.

1 to 3 p.m. – Watermelon Eating Contest (anytime between these hours).

• Dunk Tank is sponsored by Kenny Nicholas for the Jail/Courthouse project.

• Kids activities, giant waterslides, watermelon eating contest all kids are invited to participate in kids events.

• Limited camping, check the local RV parks for availability.

• Volunteers are most needed at 4 to 6 p.m. for clean up on Sunday.

• McCloud Community Recreation Council requests that participants leave dogs at home.
